Located in the heart of the city, near Wat That Luang, it takes just 10 minutes walking to the city center. The house was built in 1885. The residence of a branch of the Lao royal family it was the childhood home of Prince Souphanouvong, the resistance leader known as the “Red Prince”, and from 1975 the first president of the Lao PDR. The building, now a heritage protected property, was sensitively renovated by Madame Lamphoune Voravongsa and opened as a private hotel in 2002. Then in 2008 six more colonial style buildings consisting of 15 Deluxe rooms, 7 Junior suites and 3 Satri House suites were added to the existing structures.
