DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL – SUNSET CRUISE

Welcome to Luang Prabang!

On arrival at the airport, our guide and driver will wait to pick you up and then transfer you to your hotel in central town for check-in.

You will have a plenty of time to relax until our sunset cruise starts at 16:30. Then, you will be collected by our guide and transferred to the pier. The embarkation time is 5 pm.

During this sunset cruise, you will have a chance to enjoy Lao traditional dance performance to learn a bit more about legends, culture, history of Laotian people. A romantic dinner will be served on board with delicious local specialties.

7 pm: The boat returns to the pier. After disembarkation, our driver will transfer you to your hotel to relax at your own leisure.

DAY 2: HALF DAY LUANG PRABANG CITY TOUR (B)

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. You are free to relax at your own leisure this morning.

In the afternoon, the half-day Luang Prabang city tour ensues towards Wat Xieng Thong – one of the most famous and beautiful temples in Laos with impressive architecture and statues

After Wat Xieng Thong, we pay a visit to another beautiful temple called Wat Senna – or the so-called “the Temple of 100,000 treasures”.

The tour continues by climbing 328 steps to the top of Phousi Hill to admire the stunning sunset over Luang Prabang town and its peaceful outskirts.

You must be tired now! It’s time to sit back and relax for a 1-hour foot massage at a local spa in Luang Prabang. After transferring back to your hotel, the balance of the day is free at your own leisure. You can relax, go shopping at H’mong night market or discover the diversity of Luang Prabang’s street foods. Overnight at your hotel in Luang Prabang.

DAY 3: KUANG SI FALLS AND COOKING CLASS (B,L)

The day starts with a visit to the Phosi Market. This will offer you an insight into the daily lifestyle of Laotian people as well as various local specialties.

Later in the morning, you will drive 30km on the less-traffic road deep into the forest, where the most beautiful attraction to cool-off in Luang Prabang is located –Kuang Si Waterfalls.

Kuang Si is definitely a masterpiece that Mother Nature gift to Laos. The complex, surrounded by majestic mountains and dense forests, consists of many turquoise cascades and natural pools.

On arrival at the fall, you will have a chance to attend a special cooking class at a restaurant nearby with delicious Lao delicacies. Enjoy what you just cooked in the class and some local delicacies that our chef prepared for you.

Relax and swim in Kuang Si Waterfalls

Drive back to your hotel in Luang Prabang and enjoy the remaining day in your own way.

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG - KAMU LODGE (B,L,D) – ONLY GUIDE OF KAMU LODGE

The tour starts by taking you to the Kamu Lodge pier for an upstream cruise on the Mekong River at 8:30 AM.

Note: Transfer by boat to Kamu Lodge is shared with other guests. On the boat, there is an English-speaking guide provided by Kamu Lodge to assist guests and to highlight points of interest on the journey to the Lodge

We then pay a visit to Pak Ou Caves – a unique temple surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs sitting on the bank of Mekong River, home to thousands of Buddha statues and hidden images.

Once done at the Pak Ou, the boat ensues upstream towards Kamu Lodge where you will stay for the night.

Upon arrival, you will disembark the boat, enjoy welcome drinks and check into your tent at Kamu Lodge. There are several types of tents for you to choose including the super-size one with luxury bathroom and facilities. Lunch will be served in a hut in the middle of the rice field.

After lunch, you will have a chance to experience some traditional activities of Kamu people such as rice planting, harvesting, plowing, gold panning, fishing, etc. Moreover, you can feel free to discover Kamu village in your own ways to learn more about their unique culture and tradition.

Your dinner is full of Kamu tribe specialties plus the twinkling candle lights.

DAY 5: KAMU LODGE - LUANG PRABANG (B,L) – Hanoi

This morning you are free to relax or discover Kamu village. A fulfilling lunch will be served at Kamu Lodge.

You will then check out of your tent and get ready for the cruise back to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival at Luang Prabang’s pier, our guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi – Vietnam’s bustling capital city.

Our local guide and driver in Vietnam will greet and collect you from Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi to transfer you to your hotel.

The remaining day is free at your leisure. You can stroll around together to uncover the beauty of Hanoi nightlife or relax at your hotel.

DAY 6: HANOI HALF DAY CITY TOUR AND STREET FOOD (B,D)

Enjoy the breakfast at your hotel and the morning free at your own leisure.

In the afternoon, your half-day city tour starts with Tran Quoc Pagoda – a beautiful spiritual structure on the bank of the West Lake. Built in the Dynasty of Emperor Ly Nam De (544-548), this is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. Setting foot in Tran Quoc, you will have an opportunity to not only see ancient architecture and beautiful statue but also learn more about Buddhism in Vietnam.

The tour continues with a visit to the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam. You will be amazed by the architecture of the temple, western-styled patterns, green space, stone statues.

Once done at Temple of Literature, we drive back to the heart of the city and get on the traditional cyclo riding around the Hanoi Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.

Your street food tour ensues right after the ride, featuring some of the best and most famous delicacies in Hanoi such as Bun Cha, Banh Cuon, Egg Coffee…

Return to your hotel and relax at your leisure.

DAY 7: HANOI – LANHA BAY (B,L,D) SHUTTLE BUS

Breakfast will be served at your hotel.

9:10 Our guide and driver will pick you up and drive straight to Cat Ba Island on the new highway.

11:30 Arrive in Cat Ba Island, wait for a while at the lounge and prepare to get on the cruise

12:30 Embark PEONY Cruise, enjoy welcome drinks and delicious Lunch on board while the vessel cruising from Lan Ha Bay towards Halong Bay. It is time for you to sit back, relax and admire the stunning seascape and thousands of limestone islets in the bays.

Afterward, you will disembark and get on the bus which was already waiting for you on Cat Ba Island to get to Trung Trang Cave – a mysterious site at the heart of Cat Ba National Park.

17:00 Peony Cruise sets sail to Tra Bau fishing village, a less-populated area in Lan Ha Bay with fresh emerald water.

17:45 Return to Peony Cruise and witness the breathtalking sunset over Lan Ha Bay

Cooking class then ensues on board with the making of some authentic Vietnamese delicacies.

A fulfilling dinner will be served with some delicious cuisines and fresh seafood.

DAY 8: LANHA BAY CRUISING (B,L,D)

Early risers are lucky ones.

If you can get up early, you will have a chance to witness and capture the stunning sunrise over limestone islets in Lan Ha Bay.

6:15 Freshen up your mind with an easy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck.

Enjoy breakfast with complimentary Vietnamese tea/coffee.

8:30 You will transfer to Peony Day Boat to easily visit Viet Hai Village – a beautiful little town on Cat Ba Island. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere there as well as stunning natural scenery by bicycle.

Back to the boat and enjoy lunch there.

13:30 It’s time for you to explore Lan Ha Bay or relax on the sundeck

15:00 Return to Peony Cruise to get to a lesser-known area for swimming. Relax in the pure fresh water in Lan Ha Bay.

Enjoy dinner on board. Overnight on Peony Cruise.

DAY 9: LANHA BAY – HANOI – DEPARTURE (B,L)

6:15 Tai Chi Session ensues on the sundeck. If you didn’t try it yesterday, then this would be a great chance. Afterward, breakfast will be served in the cruise’s restaurant.

The Peony Cruise starts to set sail to Ao Ech area where you can kayak with your beloved one at 7:45.

9:30 Come back to the Cruise to freshen up, pack your stuff and prepare for check out.

10:00 Enjoy a delectable brunch and complimentary cups of Vietnamese tea while our vessel cruises back to the Ferry

11:35 Arrive at Got Ferry, disembark and say goodbye to the crew!

Our guide and shuttle bus driver will pick you up and transfer you back to Hanoi.
