In the morning, we pick you up at your guesthouse/hotel with your motorcycle. After a short introduction and training, we start a motorbike trip to our first highlight - Wat Pa Phon Phao. This young temple (finished 1987) is located on a hill outside of Luang Prabang. Here you will have your first impression of Luang Prabang from a height. After breakfast, we will ride around Luang Prabang and make a stop at the Elephant Camp. Here you can see Asian Elephants protected in natural environment. Leaving the elephants with nice pictures, we go towards on a dusty road to Tad Katscham, a lonely and beautiful waterfall south of Luang Prabang.   Don’t forget your swimsuits (no Bikini!!!). This motorcycling day will send us back to Luang Prabang after another 40km stretch on wild and sealed roads. Spend your first night at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

A short tour around the caves will introduce us the history of North Laos during the 60s and 70s. Also we will make visits to some villages beside the road to have a deeper understanding of the land and its culture. After lunch, we will have chance discover the Tham Piew Cave. In fact, this is a very sad place because there were more than 400 people killed in an American attack in the war. Then reach the town of Phonsavan and spend a night there.

Nobody really knows where the plain of jars actually came from, and what were they used for. There are many secret about the area waiting for us to discover. This day we will pay a visit to a great highland landscape scattered with mysterious jars, bigger than those in a modern factory. The sight is considered a miracle of the region. Scattered around the jars are still a lot of unexploded ordnances remaining from the war. Another short trip leads us out to the old capital of this province which also was destroyed by bombers during the early 70s. The evening is the free time for strolling in the town. Spend overnight in Phonsavan.

Direction occident through breathtaking wood formations and underneath a lush green jungle is our next target Vang Vieng.  The town is known as the paradise for party in the country. After lunch you will join the legendary tubing down the Nam Song River. A duty for every Vang Vieng visitors! A great day filled with nature, landscapes and interesting activities.
